Pre-wash
Laundering
All of our pieces come with a care instruction label. Please follow the shown instructions for the best results. It is also important to remove your bed linen from the washing machine as soon as the wash cycle is done. For drying, use a short program so that the items are not completely dried. The next step is to hang the linen to dry. This ensures fewer wrinkles and increases the longevity of your bed linen. Note that high heat and tumbling in a dryer breaks cotton fibres down and, over time, reduces the durability of the fabric. Finally, we recommend that you avoid fabric softeners, whiteners and bleach, and use only high-quality laundry detergent. Liquid detergent works best to avoid stains. If you have hard water in your area, adding a gentle descaling agent will produce better results for darker colours.
Stains
Stains must be removed as quickly as possible. The longer a stain remains in the fabric, the more difficult it is to remove it. Use cold water to work the stain out of the fabric and only launder your linens once the stain is gone, particularly with blood stains, as washing a stained item in warm water will fix the stain to the fabric. Ironing a stain after washing will make the stain nearly impossible to remove.
Ironing
Ironing the fabric while it is still slightly damp produces the best results. This is definitely so with 100% linen fabrics. For the perfect result, after making your bed, use a spray bottle, filled with clean water, to mist the top sheets and pillowcases. Once the fabric is dry, your bed will be perfectly smooth.
